During the event, researchers from CeMESS showcased projects on the nitrogen cycle, new 16S rRNA primers, wastewater microbiomes, and the GlobDB initiative. The visiting researchers presented work on nutrient removal and recovery, biorecovery, and micropollutant treatment. The program also included a lab tour, highlighting CeMESS infrastructure and experimental platforms. The visit provided a dynamic setting for exchange on research approaches, collaboration opportunities, and PhD experience across countries, strengthening international connections in environmental microbiology and engineering.
