Bettina Glasl and Sarah Förster receive Haus-des-Meeres Awards
We are delighted to congratulate Bettina Glasl and Sarah Förster on their recognition at the Haus-des-Meeres Science Day 2026.
Bettina Glasl (CeMESS | DOME) received the Haus-des-Meeres Marine Conservation Award in remembrance of Hans and Lotte Hass for her public outreach project “ReefSpect,” which she initiated together with her dive club, Tauchclub Weinviertel.
Sarah Förster (MSc student in the Sponge Team of the Nitrification Group, CeMESS | DOME) received the Haus-des-Meeres Scholarship to promote research on marine organisms in remembrance of Rupert Riedl for her MSc project investigating the role of Bastadin in the marine sponge Ianthella basta.
