Matthias Horn elected Fellow of the European Academy of Microbiology (EAM)
DOME | CeMESS professor Matthias Horn has been elected a Fellow of the European Academy of Microbiology. Election to the EAM Fellowship recognises outstanding scientific achievement and leadership in microbiology, with Fellows selected through a rigorous nomination and evaluation process by existing members. In the latest cohort, EAM welcomes 95 new Fellows, and Matthias Horn (DOME | CeMESS) joins a distinguished community of over 200 leading microbiologists from across Europe and beyond. As a Fellow of the Academy (FEMS), members are committed to advancing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and supporting the next generation of scientists. The EAM describes the Fellowship as both an honour and an opportunity – recognising excellence as a responsibility to mentor, advise, and help shape the future of microbiology.
