From September 25th to 29th 2023, the International FISH course will be held again. During the one-week course, participants will receive an introduction to the fundamentals of fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH)-based microscopy for identification, quantification, and co-localization of microorganisms. In addition, the course provides an outline of complementary techniques for in situ analysis. The central focus of the course is the practical work with own samples.
The course will take place at the University of Vienna Biology Building (UBB), Djerassiplatz 1. Applications are now open and possible until April 30th 2023 via this application form. Interested researchers can find more information about the course here. Depending on the COVID-19 situation in September 2023, the course might be cancelled on short notice. However, should this be necessary, the course fees will be reimbursed.
